Important COVID-19 Update (5/11/21)
Dear Church Family & Friends,
Someone who attended our worship service on May 9, 2021 at 10 AM has since tested positive for COVID-19. They were most likely exposed at another location.
What we’ve done
-
Those who were in close contact with the person have been directly notified.
-
All who signed up for in person worship on 5/9 have been sent a text or email.
-
The whole congregation is included in this message you are reading now.
What we will do
-
We will sanitize the building thoroughly as usual, and give additional attention to all the areas the person came in contact with
-
We will plan to worship in-person again this Sunday (5/16).
-
We will keep you posted on any other changes.
What you can do
-
If you were notified as someone who came into close contact with the person or their unvaccinated family members and you are not fully vaccinated, please do not attend in person worship for 10 days and consult your healthcare provider for additional advice
-
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, other potential exposure, or just feel sick at all, please stay home and consult your healthcare provider about getting tested
-
If you are more comfortable attending our services virtually, you can watch online here.
-
If you attend services in-person, please continue to follow our mitigation guidelines (mask wearing, hand washing, social distancing, etc.)
Regarding those who are fully vaccinated, the CDC says, “If you’ve been around someone who has COVID-19, you do not need to stay away from others or get tested unless you have symptoms.”
Thank you for your understanding and please keep the family who received a positive test result in prayer for their journey back to health.
Let us know if you have any questions.
On behalf of the session and in Christ,
Pastor Mike
PS More information is available from Delaware County (including this document on quarantine) and from the CDC.
