Michael Quillen is the Senior Pastor of Crossroads Community Church located in the ethnically diverse city of Upper Darby just blocks from Philadelphia, PA. He leads a community drawn from more than 20 nations on a mission to meet people at the crossroads of life with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to help one another along the road of spiritual growth.
The Gospel changed Mike's heart and the course of his life in 1994. He quit his factory job so he could worship with God’s people. He received an MBA from the University of Delaware that opened a career with W. L. Gore & Associates. He met his wife and they eventually followed the Lord’s call to Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis.
After a ten year pastorate in East Tennessee, he remains passionate about worshiping God, healthy relationships, and personal transformation. Those passions lead him to preach on Sunday mornings, to lead Relational Wisdom seminars regularly, and to meet often with people for mutual growth in their spiritual lives. Over the years he has also learned administrative skills, but they pale in comparison to his wife, Julia Quillen.
Like many other Delaware Valley natives, he bears the burden of being a lifelong Philly sports fan. His efforts to pass that tradition on to his seven children have had mixed results. Perhaps that will change since the family now calls Upper Darby home.
