Youth

NextGen logo for webpage headerAll middle and high school students (grades 7-12) are welcome to come out for NextGen! We usually meet on Sunday mornings for "Conversations, Confections, and Christ" (9:15-10:00 AM) and Sunday nights for NextGen@Night (6:00-8:00 PM). Most meetings are at the church building, but social gatherings are often elsewhere.

We finished our room renovation this year! Come out to experience more of what's sampled below:

Our leadership team is: Pastor Mike Quillen, Julia Quillen, Scott Moore, Bob Styer, and Peggy Styer

Our Purpose

To help youth in 7th-12th grade build deeper relationships with God and each other so that they shine the light of Jesus Christ now and in the future.

This year, we are doing two different main gatherings. One in the morning and one in the evening. We will also have service opportunities, social gatherings, and other fun.

Sunday Mornings

Conversations, Confections, and Christ takes place on Sunday mornings from 9:15 - 10:00 AM. We are working through the Bible book of Ephesians with teaching, discussion, and times for sharing. And, of course we’ll have some donuts!

Sunday Evenings

NextGen@Night takes place on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. We have fun, connect with each other, and build our connection to Jesus Christ.  This year, our lesson times will focus on building our skills at understanding the Bible. We'll look at how the text, context, and genre impact what the Bible says and what it means for us TODAY. We'll use various Bible passages and practical examples to learn and grow.

During this year, we’ll also participate in some service projects (like helping with Kids Fair in October) and regular social gatherings (like a Thanksgiving party in November, a Christmas party in December, and more).

Each lesson is self-contained, so every week is a good week to join us for the first time! And we'd love to see you at both meetings, but they are independent. We have students who only attend one or the other and students who come to all.
